Ang Mamatay ng Dahil sa Iyo
“Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum”, if you want peace, prepare for war. As
much as we hate the gruesome effects war brings, the valor and dedication we
carry to protect our country is the greatest honor one can fight for. It shows
our love and patriotism for our motherland. Ask what you can do for your
country, defending it against any foe. The heroes who fought during World War 2
shows the strength and love we show for our country. Preserving and defending the
land we grew up on with our lives is the honor we can give for the future. That’s
what our fallen heroes did back in the war.
National Heroes Day or
“Araw ng Kagitingan” is a very prominent and important day for us Filipinos to
commemorate the sacrifices our fellow Filipino’s did for us. Making them the
heroes to who we owe our lives
. From our national hero Jose Rizal who proved to
all of us that the pen is mightier than the sword, Andres Bonifacio who fought
for our freedom along with their comrades. Carrying upon their visions is why
we celebrate National Heroes Day, those who fought in the Battle of Bataan gave
all the virtue to do the righteous, the dignitaries we must remember and
commend to serve as our inspiration.
Our
heroes from the past definitely inspired us to fight for what is right, as we
face a new war against an invisible enemy we have our modern heroes fighting in
the frontline, putting their lives at stake so we won’t get in harm’s way. We
must never forget all the people that fought for a brighter future. It is
because of them that we have a good future that’s ahead of us.
