Human No More: “Sulong Edukalidad”

Education is a right that no one can take from you, it is your gateway to success. Education comes in many forms, just so the system that we are upholding is making us study what is not deemed necessary in our future needs. “Never judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree” as Einstein said. Education comes to wisdom, dedication and perseverance, knowing moral and living life. As to those lifting up their right to education, especially in these time ensuring quality education is uncertain to those who choose to live a life.

Ravages around the world as covid-19 ramparts our lives. The Department of Education under Sec. Briones chose to continue on learning. Other countries are already facing this new normal except they just have the upper hand in dealing with this pandemic. The Philippines on the other hand still lies among the top covid-19 cases at its longest quarantine periods. Education deemed necessary but with unnecessary topics one has to learn, that’s just the system we have been living through. I cannot take away my right to education, it did help open doors for me as for everyone else in their field of expertise. But let’s face the truth that those scumbags are blind of. DepEd urge students to learn, but based on majority of students experiences, we don’t have the hopes of learning just meeting the departments desired wish. Us students and teachers being robots. Their mission is to attain quality education, but as we look, students lost faith in themselves causing their life, mental health issues sky rocketed, teachers getting infected and being burned out. Is this their vision of quality education? It is bringing misery to most, some not privileged with the luxury of others. Most trying to get by their needs.

Teachers, students, and parents alike needs to adjust to this new normal. If the superiors still won’t adjust the work interface to make learning at ease and meaningful, it is more important to put our lives first. Education is the best thing you could ever have, be it in many ways, different knowledge’s in particular fields, all to achieve our dreams and goals for the future.

  12. I completely agree with everything that you said. The Department of Education was indeed blinded by their desire to keep up with the other country's education system without considering it's effects to the students and educators.
