A Kiss Back to the Angel of Death

We always don’t know what lays beneath our feet, when were just having a peaceful day and then the ground starts to rumble. Earthquakes are one of the most destructive forces mother-nature has to offer. They often come unexpectedly, we do detect them with our seismographs but it’s too late to tell what already happened. Take the 1991 Luzon Earthquake for example, a very destructive earthquake that shattered most of the Luzon Island with a magnitude of 7.7, a lot may have fallen that day but as always we always get back up and rise again. This time coming more prepared than ever.

Many disasters and calamities comes to the time where we don’t expect them, despite all  the modern equipment that we have. But with the establishment of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, a lot of these disasters and calamities like the earthquake have subdued its effects, as the ramparts we greatly watch for our lives, are now gallantly streaming. When disasters like earthquakes will strike, the best option that we have is to come prepared, wherever, whenever.

Thanks to the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. We are molded to become prepared when an earthquake strikes at any given time and at any given place. It may take place at home, school, buildings, on the street, or by the sea. We are vigilant enough to know and to be prepared whenever an earthquakes strikes. This preparedness proves our resiliency, to prevent further damage and loss of life caused by the effects of earthquakes.

Disasters always comes at the break of dawn, when the trembling of the earth shatters our lives, we come prepared thanks to the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. We must partake in this activity because this helps us to be ready to face the angel of death that our planet casts upon.
